The state funded projects usually get their electricity from the main grid. However, the government can take full advantage of renewable technology to power public infrastructure projects. Some examples are solar power microgrids that could be used on major highways, schools, hospitals, military bases or sites protecting national security. Solar power would easily replace the requirement of generators and fuel supplies hence reducing government costs.
